1989 par car throttle

I have a 89 par car with the govenor removed however now when the pedal is depressed all the way the motor really bogs... pushing the pedal a bit will allow the cart to go.. just curious if anyone else has had this issue??? also was curious if anyone has a pic of how they attached the throttle cable to the carb after removing the govenor assembly? thanks in advance
