after my cart runs for about an hour it dies I take off the gas cap and hear the air rush and then cart starts right back up. What could be the problem?

That's exactly what it sounds like to me. Is there any type of vent hose that comes from your tank that could possibly be pinched??

If not, I would conisder venting your cap..I used to do it w/ my motorbikes.

There should be a vent in the top of the gas tank. Make sure its not plugged or replaced with a non vent.

are you sure there is supposed to be a vent? i dont see one on the parts exploded diagram of the fuel tank.

Its called a release valve in the diagram

i see it in the diagram for a g8 but this is a g14. My concern is with a vent it might possibly flood the engine.

I also jsut noticed the gas cap on my yamaha says ezgo. Does anyone no for sure with out a doubt if the gas cap is vented on a g14???

Yes you have a gas tank vent and in no way will it flood the engine.
I'll pm a pic of the g-14 tank.....G-2 thru G14 tanks are the same. I have a G-9. Trust me.
