How to increase speed of 2010 YDRE e-cart

Postby johnsonta » Mon Aug 01, 2011 12:05 pm

My 2010 YDRE Yamaha golf cart can only get up to 19 mph. I'd like it to go up to about 25 mph. What are my options for increasing the speed? Does a YDRE have a G number?

The speed is controlled by the OBC. You will need to take it to or have a Yamaha service agent change it. A IPalm & Yamaha programe are used through a infered device. If you lift the seat you will see where the plug is located. There are a possible of 25 speed settings available, ranging from slow with max regen. braking to max speed with no regen. braking. Make sure u have good batteries though, those 12v batteries are always causing problems where 1 will fail. Hope this is of help.

at 19 MPH thats the max the controller will allow it, thats the PTV code. Install a motor by EMP or Plum Quick and you will achieve 25 MPH with no other changes.
