What size utility trailer for hauling cart?

What size utility trailer for hauling cart?

Postby Crusader » Tue Jul 10, 2007 9:10 pm

Well, I know that's a simple question, but how many things in life are simple??? My cart is at my cottage and a buddy of mine has a 4x8 utility trailer that he's looking to get rid of quick (divorce sale). The price is right, but I'm not sure my cart will fit in the trailer. I have a 99' ezgo with a rear seat and step to get on it. The trailer has side walls so the entire cart would have to fit in the 4x8 space.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Stock carts will go between the inner fenders in a pick up bed so a 4' wide trailer will work. as far as length, I'm thinking it will be close. If it's real cheap, you could have it modified or make the front removable to allow the cart to sit more forward.
A friend will bail you out of jail, but a good friend will be sitting beside you saying "Man, that was fun!

I would say stock it will fit, but not with offset wheels, I have a Triton aluminum 5x8 for my lifted cart, big $$$ but bought used.

My trailer is 5' x 8' with a rear ramp/gate. My 87' fits with about an inch to spare. With a rear seat and step I'm thinking you'll need to go at least 10'.

Vix is the winner! I was able to get ahold of my neighbor at the lake, and he confirmed it. With the rear seat/step the cart measures out to about 9' 2".

Thanks for the help gentlemen. The search for a decent (yet cheap) trailer continues..................
