Substituting ezgo charger board 28667-GO1 for 603194

Postby RODBUL » Mon Jun 18, 2012 6:02 pm

I have an Ezgo 2007 Powerwise II charger that has a bad timer board (6031940). A mechanic at the local Ezgo dealer said that he could replace the timer board with board 28667-GO1. He said that it would be less expensive and have the same functionality. Does this sound reasonable?

I don't know if my question wasn't clear of if I misunderstood the answer.
My charger has a timer board, Ezgo part 603194, which has apparently fried.
I can replace it with the same board which is very expensive, or according to the mechanic, substitute 28667-G01 that is used on older chargers for the existing board.
It looks to me as if the answer says substituting the board is the only way to repair it. Was it meant the using the original board, 603194, is the only way to repair it, or is either way acceptable?
How would the substitute board be wired if acceptable?
