Drive clutch.

Postby gordon uk » Mon Nov 02, 2009 6:33 am

Sorry guys yet one more clutch question. I have a 2001 cc ds gas and I am about to try to remove the drive clutch. What I would like to ask those who have managed this, is can the clutch be removed with the motor in place or has it to be out of the chassis.Or do you drop the suspension,as there is very little room from the clutch to the spring hanger. As of now I am making a puller, cutting a piece of 4x2 and trying not to worry about it. Any tips or information will be gratefully recieved.

Well guys, No need for a reply on this post now. The 4x2 did the trick with consumate ease, puller not needed. Only need to remove belts and exaust to get better angle to use the timber and hammer.
