If the car is only going 8 mph, you may need new batteries. Other than that, you may need to upgrade the complete system and in doing this, it may be cheaper to purchase a newer golf car.

Hi, thanks Barry
How fast should my cart be going if everything is up to snuff?
How can I get a wiring diagram with number reference to parts list?
Thanks
Jeff

Factory setting of golf cars is between 11 and 15 mph.

If you have the wiring diagram, thats going to be your best friend. Look at it close and follow the diagram.

ok, so i finally found a good factory diagram, got it wired, and it ran quite well, except i still have a problem- it goes extremely fast in reverse, but not in forward. i think the speeds might be reversed somehow?? the reverse speed should be the forward speed. any ideas on a fix?

Where did you get the wiring diagram? I am looking to do the same thing, I need a light diagram too. I have some light wires broken...

Golf cart guy, make sure all of your solonoids are working. For the longest time I couldnt figure out why my wifes cart couldnt keep up with every body and was jerky. Finally replaced all the solenoids and now it runs like a champ!
